The former prevents annoying rear wheel chatter when braking sharply or decelerating – and gives the wheel just that bit of braking for a controlled rear wheel slide. The latter allows the clutch to be pulled and controlled with just one trigger-happy finger – which saves energy when riding. Ride-by-wire: It’s the guarantee of a smooth throttle response, more than simply the absence of a throttle cable. WHEELS AND TYRES Equally lightweight and delicate as they are stable, the 17 in cast light alloy wheels are fitted with grippy Metzeler tyres - 110 mm wide at the front and an impressive 150 mm at the rear. I am the original owner of this 2014 KTM RC8R 1190. I purchased the bike in March of 2014 from Thousand Oaks. The bike runs perfect and looks beautiful. I have taken excellent care of the bike keeping up on regular maintenance and always in my garage. Its always clean and waxed and has never seen rain.The fluids have been changed including oil, coolant, and brake. I have only used Motorex oil in this bike per KTM's recommendations.
