Meet the 2027 Kawasaki KX250X in classic Lime Green—a full-size cross-country machine that looks fast standing still and feels even faster the moment the trail points forward. Built for off-road miles and race-pace rhythm, it’s the kind of bike that makes you want to squeeze in “just one more loop” until the sun quits first.

At the heart of this KX250X is a liquid-cooled, 249cc single-cylinder 4-stroke with DOHC and 4 valves working a 14.0:1 compression ratio for a punchy, responsive character. Fueling is handled by Keihin fuel injection with a 44mm injector, and it happily runs on regular gas—so you can focus on lines, not logistics. Hit the button and go thanks to the electric starter, then keep the momentum rolling through a 5-speed manual transmission and chain final drive that’s ready for tight woods, fast straights, and everything in between.

The chassis keeps things sharp and confident with an aluminum frame and aluminum wheels, wrapped in purposeful plastic bodywork. With 13 inches of ground clearance and a planted stance across a 58.5-inch wheelbase, it’s built to skim over trail surprises while staying composed when the pace heats up. A kickstand is there for the inevitable “helmet-off water break” moments.

Suspension comes ready to chase speed: a Showa 49mm inverted fork with 12 inches of travel and adjustable rebound damping up front, paired with a UNI-TRAK rear setup on an aluminum swingarm offering 12.1 inches of travel, adjustable spring pre-load, and adjustable rebound damping. Traction is handled by Dunlop Geomax rubber󈠠/100-21 front and 110/100-18 rear—mounted on tubed 21/18 wheels for that true off-road feel.

When it’s time to rein things in, disc brakes front and rear do the job with a 270mm front rotor and 240mm rear rotor. Add in practical protection like an engine case guard, fork guards, and an exhaust guard, and you’ve got a Lime Green cross-country tool that’s eager to be ridden hard—and ready to come back for more.<
