Lightweight 321cc supersport performance with ABS, assist-and-slipper clutch and everyday-friendly ergonomics.

The 2026 Yamaha YZF-R3 in Midnight Black brings authentic R-Series design and approachable supersport performance to newer riders and experienced enthusiasts alike. Its 321cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine is tuned for smooth low-rpm response and energetic high-rpm power, paired with a six-speed transmission and assist-and-slipper clutch for confident shifts. A lightweight chassis, inverted front fork and compact riding position make the R3 nimble in city traffic, on winding roads and during track-day learning. The braking system uses a 298mm front disc and 220mm rear disc with ABS for added confidence. Yamaha Y-Connect smartphone compatibility helps riders view useful vehicle and ride information, while full R-Series bodywork and LED lighting give the R3 a premium look. The balanced ergonomics are sporty without making normal street use difficult. For riders seeking a manageable first sportbike or an efficient lightweight machine with real Yamaha racing heritage, this R3 is a strong choice.
