Factory-inspired Monster Energy style with hard-hitting 249cc two-stroke power and class-leading KYB suspension.

The 2025 Yamaha YZ250 Monster Energy Edition combines the proven performance of Yamaha’s 249cc two-stroke motocross platform with distinctive Monster Energy Yamaha Racing graphics. Its liquid-cooled, reed-valve-inducted engine uses Yamaha’s Power Valve System to deliver crisp response and a broad, hard-hitting powerband. A close-ratio five-speed transmission and heavy-duty wet clutch provide direct, dependable shifts under race conditions. The aluminum chassis, flat seat and slim bodywork give riders room to move and make the bike feel light when changing lines. Fully adjustable 48mm KYB Speed Sensitive System forks and a fully adjustable KYB rear shock deliver race-developed control over rough track surfaces. Premium 21-inch front and 19-inch rear Excel rims carry Dunlop Geomax MX33 tires, while 270mm front and 240mm rear hydraulic discs provide strong braking power and feel. This edition is built for racers and experienced riders who want proven two-stroke capability with a factory-inspired appearance. See it at Hood River PowerSports & Marine in Hood River, Oregon.
