You're looking at the most unique, well maintained, customized Ducati Monster 1100S the world has ever seen, and I honestly don't think it's a stretch to say that. Over $7500 worth of aftermarket upgrades - all professionally installed - turn an already stunningly beautiful Italian muscle bike into a work of art. Short of carbon fiber wheels, this M1100S has just about every upgrade money can buy.
Please check the last pic for a comprehensive list of all the aftermarket bits on her, along with the price paid for each.
The bike is flawless. Never laid down, paint is beautiful, brakes are firm (even the rear, which is a sore point for Monsters), throttle is responsive, tires and chain are like new - everything adds up to a sublime riding experience on a bike that feels like it just rolled off the showroom floor. The only "issue" to note is endemic to these Monsters: cold starts after a few days without riding occasionally take 2-3 tries. This can be seen in the video linked to this listing, in which the bike was started cold after having not been ridden in a few days.
One-take video with walkaround, cold-start, idle, and revs available - please check gallery! Should be the last item.
If you haven't rode one of these before, it's an absolute THRILL. The M1100S is a wellspring of torque, and it will happily lift its front tire in 2nd or 3rd if you let it. The exhaust note is burly and aggressive, while still maintaining that touch of Italian refinement Desmo engines are known for. These are also some of the last "true" Ducatis with the dry clutch, which if you're unfamiliar may startle you with the clatter coming from the crankcase. It's all a part of the Ducati experience - that, along with the Desmodromic valves, trellis frame, and thrilling riding dynamics are what makes this one of the most iconic bikes on the road.
If you can't tell, I absolutely adore this bike. The only reason I'm listing it is because, at 6'5", I'm a bit big for it. I've got some long legs, and while it's a bit cramped it's still very rideable - even for me. Didn't used to be much of a problem, but I'm increasingly wishing I had something that fit my frame a little better.
Feel free to make me an offer. Serious ones (i.e. ones that don't come in thousands of dollars below my asking price) will be met with willing negotiation. Lowballs will get laughed at.
I'd be more than happy to take any additional, close-up pictures for serious buyers - just let me know!
