Purchased late last year from the original owner in Southern CA. Bike is in immaculate condition with well documented service history. Just as the prime riding season kicks in, we are changing lanes and need to move for work. ️ This change includes thinning out our \'stuff\' for some time.

I searched for several months until finding this model. Was looking at it for fun-to-cost ratio and the bullet proof nature of the setup, so long as you perform the regular maintenance. Have only ridden the bike aprox 7 or 8 times on short 20 mile or less trips around town, [busier now than expected] and it performs flawlessly. Goes, stops, turns, rides like brand new...I am never less than impressed. Bike, brakes, tires are in great condition. It has a lot more power than I expected for an 800

It has been garaged its' whole life when not ridden; previous owner and now. Adult owned, never raced or overly stressed. The only thing we've done is add a new GIVI windshield which is a little taller and moves the wind over better [I have the original also] and a very useful cell phone holder that sits front/center right above the key. Hate to see it go, but no choice.

If you are interested, send a note. If you want to test ride, show up with cash in hand and a trailer. No joy rides, no scammers. As you might expect, a ride and a wreck forfeits the cash. The original owner babied/ absolutely loved the bike and only sold it due to age and slight vision deterioration. Super nice family, meticulous attention to service and I haven't had a chance to need any as of yet given the short ownership window.

The original owner was kind enough to lower his price to $4,200.00 for me. To facilitate a smooth sale and pass along the gift, we can let it go for $3,900.00. This is a chance to own a machine that was ahead of it's time in my opinion. My second VFR and I had searched this model specifically due to the solid service history of the first example/generation.

Updates/Additional Information:

1 - Based on one question, I remembered that when we loaded up the bike in Southern CA all was well. Halfway north, one of the straps came loose and the rear rocked back and forth going thru a construction zone/lane change and the scratches on the GIVI cases occurred before I could pull over and re-secure. No structural damage, the left side dug in a bit, but as I was going to use the included chip/cover to get a direct match and repaint anyway [they are very close but not exact] I'd forgotten about it for the original listing.

2 - Not only do we have title in hand, but we have every document the original owner had neatly accumulated and handed over when we bought it. Manuals, Keys, and a file folder of all the work/service done to it under his ownership. Meticulous is the only word that comes to mind.

3 - Based on another question, you will note that the cases are aprox 7-7.5" wide per side pending where the measure might be taken. Substantial enough to be handy, but again nothing I was leaning on as this was going to be for fun rides not cross country excursions for me.
