Royal Enfield Launches U.S. Motorcycle Tours With Vintage Rides
Royal Enfield North America is expanding its partnership with motorcycle travel company Vintage Rides to bring the company’s motorcycle tours to the United States for the first time. Vintage Rides already operates Royal Enfield adventures in exotic destinations around the globe — including the Himalayas, South America, Europe, Africa, and Asia.
New guided and self-guided tour options will allow riders to explore the Black Hills of South Dakota on Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 motorcycles, including local support and 24/7 roadside assistance. The program will then expand into other regions.
The Black Hills offer a combination of smooth, winding tarmac, scenic mountain roads, gravel routes and off-road riding that includes 700 miles of trails. Custer State Park and National Forest passes are also included, allowing riders to explore the beautiful scenery and vibrant history of the area.
Sturgis Launch
The partnership’s North American debut is centered in South Dakota’s Black Hills, where Vintage Rides has established a rental operation in Rapid City. The fleet includes fully prepped Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 motorcycles.
The launch coincides with the 86th annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, which runs from August 7 to 16th. Riders visiting the area can rent a Royal Enfield and explore the Black Hills before taking in the rally’s events, or extend their Sturgis trip with a longer motorcycle adventure.
Guided or Self-Guided
Future Vintage Rides offerings will expand into additional American riding destinations. Riders will be able to choose between fully guided expeditions led by experienced tour leaders and self-guided adventures that include carefully planned routes with prearranged accommodations.
Following the rally, Vintage Rides will offer two self-guided tours: Best of the Black Hills and Black Hills Blast. Both are designed to give riders a structured, curated route while maintaining the freedom to explore at their own pace.
The self-guided format is intended for riders who want the convenience of a professionally organized trip without following a group schedule. Vintage Rides’ existing Black Hills adventure package includes a Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 rental, curated routes, navigation support, accommodations, and local assistance.
The partnership creates an opportunity for riders to connect with the brand through travel and exploration, whether following a tour leader or navigating a curated route independently.
