There’s still plenty of summer left, but it’s never too early to start making plans to attend annual rallies that occur in the fall. Especially if you’re headed to the larger events where hotel rooms and campsites get snagged up in a hurry.

Some of the major bike rallies coming up this fall have been around for many years and normally attract massive crowds.
Bikefest Lake of the Ozarks—Lake Ozark, Missouri; September 15–20
Celebrating their 20thanniversary this year, Lake of the Ozarks is expected to be attended by more than 125,000 motorcycle enthusiasts. Centrally located in the United States, this event is popular for its scenic rides and more than 50 live music and entertainment shows. They also boast more than 300 biker-friendly bars, restaurants, hotels, and campgrounds.
Myrtle Beach Fall Bike Week—Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; September 25–October 4
One of the oldest bike rallies in the world, with roots that date back to 1940, the fall rally is considered the more laid-back sibling of the higher energy spring rally, which is held in May. Expecting to attract 100,000 to 200,000 visitors (compared with the 500,000-plus spring rally attendees), the fall version is affectionately known as, “The Pilgrimage,” because it represents an annual, dedicated trek for thousands of riders making their way to the South Carolina coast.
Bikes, Blues & BBQs—Rogers, Arkansas; September 30–October 3
Considered to be the largest charity motorcycle rally in the country, BB&B has been around since 2000. Since the start of the event, they have raised and donated more than $3 million to local women, children, and underserved communities. This year’s event is expected to bring in an excess of 400,000 bike fans.
Barber Vintage Motorcycle Festival—Leeds, Alabama; October 9–11
A must-attend event for motorcycle enthusiasts, featuring vintage racing, a massive swap meet, and access to the Barber Motorsports Museum. It’s one of the most respected motorcycle festivals in the world.
Biketoberfest—Daytona Beach, Florida; October 15–18
Daytona’s fall counterpart to Bike Week, combining beachside riding with major concerts and vendor exhibits. It’s a high-profile rally with nationwide draw.
Lone Star Rally—Galveston, Texas; November 5–8
Known as the largest four-day bike rally in the country, Lone Star is entering its 25th year. Despite the lateness in the season, bikers have little to fear from the weather. Temperatures on the Texas Gulf Coast in early November are generally in the low- to mid-70s. The event includes tattoo and sound competitions, hot rod shows, rodeo games, live music, and more. Be ready for crowds though, because this popular event normally draws 400,000 to 500,000 people each year.
