Kawasaki Brings Back the Ninja 300 ABS for 2026
Kawasaki is reviving one of its most successful entry-level sportbikes with the return of the 2026 Ninja 300 ABS to the North American market. Designed to provide an accessible entry point into the Ninja family, the lightweight machine combines approachable performance and rider-friendly ergonomics with sportbike styling inspired by its bigger siblings for an MSRP of only $4,999.
Stricter emissions and shifting market conditions caused Kawasaki to replace the Ninja 300 with the Ninja 400 years ago, which was then discontinued in favor of the larger Ninja 500. As displacement and price crept higher, this provided the opportunity to once again offer a smaller, less expensive entry into the Ninja family.
Powered by a 296 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine, the Ninja 300 ABS features fuel injection, a 13,000 rpm redline, and a slipper clutch to reduce wheel spin and maintain stability during aggressive downshifts. The Ninja 300 ABS is built around a lightweight steel-tube diamond frame. Suspension duties are handled by a 37 mm telescopic front fork and a rear suspension system with five-position preload adjustment.
A large analog tachometer paired with a multifunction LCD display provides fuel level, trip meters, clock, and Kawasaki’s Economical Riding Indicator.
17 in wheels wear a 110/70 front tire and a 140/70 rear tire, while braking performance comes courtesy of a 290 mm front petal disc and a 220 mm rear petal disc, with ABS as standard. The 30.9 in seat height and raised handlebars create a comfortable riding position.
Styling closely follows the larger-displacement Ninjas, including dual headlights, aggressive bodywork, a floating-style windscreen, and a muscular fuel tank. The result is a motorcycle that looks every bit the part of a full-size supersport while remaining approachable for those who are new to riding on the road or racetrack.
Available now in Lime Green or Pearl Blizzard White, the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja 300 ABS returns to the lineup to offer sportbike looks in an accessible and affordable package.
