Kawasaki is expanding its retro-inspired W family with the introduction of the 2026 W175 LTD to the U.S. market. Complementing the W230 and W800, the W175 LTD targets new riders, commuters, and anyone seeking simple transportation with classic appeal. It’s a lightweight, approachable motorcycle with an MSRP of only $2,999. First launched in Southeast Asia as a 2018 model, the W175 LTD has now been released for sale in the United States and Mexico for 2026.

Drawing inspiration from Kawasaki’s iconic LTD models, the W175 LTD blends vintage styling cues with modern safety and convenience features like ABS, fuel injection, electric start, and a crankshaft balancer that helps deliver power smoothly.

The Kawasaki LTD (Luxury Touring Design) lineup of motorcycles spanned a variety of displacements ranging from light commuters to heavy touring bikes, distinguished by their stepped seats, shorter wheelbases, and swept back handlebars. Additional styling cues include a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, peashooter-style muffler, cast wheels, chrome-accented lighting, and two color options: Ebony and Candy Emerald Green.

The W175 LTD’s power comes from a fuel-injected 177 cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine paired with a five-speed transmission, good for 13 hp at 7,500 rpm. Kawasaki says the engine is tuned for strong low- and mid-range torque, making it well-suited for urban commuting and relaxed rides. The handlebars are uncluttered and accessible, including start/stop, turn indicators, and high beam functions. The dash is easy to read, featuring a round analog speedometer gauge and a small digital display.

The 298 lb W175 LTD rides on a highly rigid semi-double cradle frame and features 30 mm telescopic forks up front with dual rear shocks offering five-way preload adjustment. A 270 mm front disc brake with ABS provides added confidence, while a 110 mm mechanical rear drum brake preserves the bike’s classic sensibility and aesthetic.
