Honda Announces 2027 CRF450 Lineup

Honda just announced updates to its CRF450 lineup for 2027. Led by the biggest updates to the CRF450R in more than a decade, the redesign extends across the entire CRF450 family, including the CRF450R, CRF450R HRC Works Edition, and CRF450RX.

Developed with direct input from Honda’s HRC factory racing programs, the updated CRF450 Performance models receive new engines, along with revised chassis components, updated suspension settings, and improved rider ergonomics.

Big News From Big Red

The centerpiece of Honda’s announcement is the redesigned CRF450R. Honda says the bike benefits from a lighter and more powerful engine, revised intake and exhaust systems, updated frame geometry, and suspension refinements developed alongside HRC race teams.

The goal was to improve power delivery, handling precision, and rider connection while maintaining the race-ready character the CRF450R is known for. The standard CRF450R arrives in dealerships this July.

HRC Works Edition

For riders seeking a factory-inspired package, the CRF450R HRC Works Edition returns with exclusive premium components, specialized tuning, and HRC styling directly influenced by Honda’s championship-winning motocross efforts. The race-focused flagship is scheduled to arrive in October.

CRF450RX Evolves

Honda also unveiled a completely redesigned CRF450RX aimed at cross-country racers. Developed with input from teams like SLR Honda, Phoenix Racing Honda, and JCR Honda, the RX receives major updates focused on durability, handling, and rider comfort over challenging terrain. The new CRF450RX is set to land at dealerships in August.

Trail and Dual-Sport Models Return 

Outside the race-focused models, Honda’s broader off-road lineup remains intact for 2027, as the CRF450X and street-legal CRF450RL remain unchanged.
