KTM chose the AIMExpo in Anaheim to pull the wraps off the 2027 Super Adventure S Evo for U.S. media. Already battle-tested by some select media during its European debut, this marked the big-bore adventure-tourer’s official North American debut.

Already an established nameplate, the latest S Evo update signals a thoughtful evolution that retains and raises the bar on its performance DNA but also refines styling and integrates intuitive technology.
Starting with the chassis, KTM made the frame stiffer for improved handling and stability. Designers have sharpened the bodywork and incorporated a slimmer LED headlight assembly that includes adaptive cornering capability for improved nighttime visibility. The electronically adjustable windshield now offers a wider range of movement for added protection from air turbulence.

Among the big news items for the debut is addition of KTM’s latest generation semi-active suspension. The Super Adventure S Evo continues to use WP components, but with faster processing and a wider range of real-time adjustment. Sensors now react more precisely to braking, acceleration, and road conditions, automatically balancing comfort and control whether the bike is loaded with luggage on rough roads or carving smooth canyon roads. KTM says the system has been recalibrated specifically for North American riding conditions, where long stretches of highway often give way to rougher secondary roads.

Power comes from KTM’s proven 1,350cc 75-degree V-twin (up from 1,300), updated to meet future emissions requirements while increasing horsepower and torque for which the Super Adventure has become known. Engineers focused on improved throttle response and smoother low-speed operation, courtesy of reworked engine components and all-new Camshift technology. It is said to improve rideability at low rpm range and achieve higher peak performance, while also lowering emissions and fuel consumption.
KTM joins the party in offering riders clutch-less shifting option. The Automated Manual Transmission, or AMT, allows the choice between traditional shifting or a fully automated shifting experience to increase accessibility and reduce fatigue.

A new-generation IMU underpins advanced rider aids, including lean-sensitive traction control, cornering ABS, and multiple ride modes that tailor power delivery and suspension behavior to rider preferences. KTM has also expanded its radar-assisted technology, adding adaptive cruise control and forward-collision warning. Once reserved for luxury touring bikes, KTM appears to be creating an offering that lends itself to long-distance comfort and safety.
A larger, brighter 8-inch TFT display sits front and center, offering improved readability in direct sunlight and allows for expanded customization options. Riders can configure layouts that prioritize navigation, ride data, or electronic settings. Smartphone connectivity now enables turn-by-turn directions, music control, and call management.

Evo features a redesigned seat with improved padding and shape, along with a wider range of adjustability to create heightened comfort for both rider and passenger. The new Super Adventure S Evo focuses on delivering a premium, technology-forward experience for riders who split their time between pavement and light gravel during long-distance travel.
KTM has yet to announce final U.S. pricing or availability, but we’ll be sure to share it once they do.
