Honda Unveils Its First Electric Motorcycle
Honda has unveiled its very first electric motorcycle at the EICMA 2025 show in Milan, Italy. Also the first model to launch under the brand’s new electric motorcycle brand direction, the naked WN7 makes use of a newly developed compact and lightweight motor that delivers a maximum output of 50kW and 100 Nm (73.7 lb.-ft.) of torque. Power is transferred to the rear wheel through a gearbox and belt-drive system.

Featuring a seamless, futuristic design, a horizontal lightbar will serve as a signature design element, as will the black-based body and gold accent color theme. The aluminum battery case serves as an integral part of the bike’s frame.
Weighing 478 lb, with a 58.2-inch wheelbase and 31.4-inch seat height, the WN7 has a predicted range of 87 miles on a full charge. Equipped with a 9.3 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery, the WN7 supports Level 2 and fast charging.
Under normal charging conditions, the battery can be charged from zero to 100 percent in under 2.4 hours, with the ability to go from 20 to 80 percent in under 30 minutes using a fast charger.
The rider can select from multiple levels of regenerative braking to capture energy during deceleration by using the Deceleration Selector on the left handlebar. The WN7 is also equipped with a Walking Speed Mode, allowing the rider to move the bike forward or backward while parking.
