Yamaha Revamps the TMAX for 2025 with a Sleek Tech Overhaul

Yamaha has updated its flagship maxi scooter for 2025 with the new TMAX Tech Max model, which will arrive in dealerships in March. Prices begin at $18,476 in the US market. Cycle Trader has a preview of the scooter as it emerges on the market.

The TMAX, Europe’s best-selling Sport Scooter, has been refreshed and designed with practicality and convenience in mind, offering a range of valuable features. Some of these include keyless access, an electronically adjustable windshield, illuminated controls, an adjustable backrest for the rider, as well as heated hand grips and a heated seat for added comfort. 

One of the most notable upgrades is the inclusion of cornering ABS, which adjusts braking force based on the scooter’s lean angle. In addition, the Yamaha Chip Controlled Throttle (YCC-T) provides a precise level of engine controllability. These features make the scooter safer and easier to handle. 

To meet Euro5+ standards, Yamaha has fine-tuned the TMAX’s twin-cylinder engine, tweaking the centrifugal clutch and redesigning the air intake funnel. These adjustments aim to enhance acceleration and improve engine sound. They’re also a few enhancements that should be considered along with these other benefits of motor scooters if you’re on the market for your next purchase.

Another useful feature of the TMAX Tech Max is a locking stand that prevents the scooter from being moved or stolen. The scooter’s smart key electronically releases the stand when the rider is ready to go.

The TMAX Tech Max now includes a seven-inch TFT screen. Through phone pairing with the Yamaha MyRide app, users can unlock even more dashboard features, such as riding logs, parking reminders, fuel tracking, route history, navigation, and more.
