Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Biking is a lifestyle, and what better way to honor that legacy than with like-minded riders at a rally. Motorcycle enthusiasts travel from all over, throughout the year, to attend these exciting rallies that are jam-packed with rides, demonstrations, vendors, entertainment, and more. As we cruise into the new year, Cycle Trader has put together a list of nine rallies to put on your 2022 calendar.

1. Bike Week Daytona Beach

March 4-13, Daytona Beach, Florida

Daytona Beach may be known for the Daytona 500 NASCAR race, but in March, motorcyclists take over to rev their engines in the sand. In fact, there’s a designated area on the beach where driving is permitted on hard-packed sand. Renowned as “the world’s largest motorcycle event,” Bike Week also features shows, free concerts, and street parties.

2. Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally

May 13-22, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina

Hop on your touring motorcycle and explore South Carolina’s Grand Strand during the Myrtle Beach Bike Week Spring Rally. In addition to scenic rides on the coastline, attendees can also enjoy tours, vendors, and other entertainment. If you can’t make the spring rally, mark your calendar for the Fall Rally, Sept. 26-Oct. 2.

3. Americade

June 7-11, Lake George, New York

Americade is the largest single-site motorcycle expo in the country. Test drive bikes, try on gear, have parts installed, and see demonstrations from leading motorcycle manufacturers at this 300,000-square-foot expo. Cruise Lake George’s scenery on an open ride, watch an action-packed stunt show, and take part in riding games during the five-day event.

4. Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally

June 9-12, Austin, Texas

Republic of Texas Motorcycle Rally celebrates the best of motorcycle culture with a custom builder’s show, jaw-dropping stunt shows, Supermoto racing, vendors, and more. It wouldn’t be a rally in the “Live Music Capital of the World” without nightly performances from national and local acts.

5. Laconia Motorcycle Week

June 11-19, Laconia, New Hampshire

Known as the “world’s oldest motorcycle rally,” Laconia Motorcycle Week will celebrate its 99th year with races and hill climbs in the charming towns of New Hampshire’s Lakes Region. The nine-day event will also have motorcycle shows, daily concerts, charity rides, poker runs, vendors, and more.

6. Mid-Atlantic Women’s Motorcycle Rally

June 16-18, York, Pennsylvania

This one is for the lady riders! The Mid-Atlantic Women’s Motorcycle Rally is three days full of camaraderie, educational seminars, contests, and fundraising to support women with cancer. Relaxing and adventurous group rides, demonstrations, themed parties, and the Parade of Chrome are a few highlights of the event schedule.

7. AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days

July 22-24, Lexington, Ohio

The American Motorcyclist Association celebrates vintage motorcycles at the AMA Vintage Motorcycle Days, North America’s largest motorcycle swap meet. Browse hundreds of vendors, who are fellow motorcycle enthusiasts, selling everything from accessories and gear to art. Keep the momentum going with the Wall of Death stunt show, vintage bike races, group rides through the countryside, and more.

8. Sturgis Motorcycle Rally

Aug. 5-14, Sturgis, South Dakota

The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is one of the largest and most renowned rallies in the country. The 10-day event, entering its 82nd year, brings hundreds of thousands of motorcycle enthusiasts to the Black Hills for historic rides, live music, and vendors. Watch both amateurs and professionals compete in electrifying hill climbs, drag races, motocross races, and more.

9. Four Corners Motorcycle Rally

Sept. 2-4, Durango, Colorado

While most of the Four Corners Motorcycle Rally takes place in Durango, the family-friendly event isn’t far from the borders of Utah, Arizona, and New Mexico. The rally has a full slate of thrilling activities, including Harley-Davidson demo rides, bike shows, and the Hooligan Dirt Dash—a rowdy, outlaw-style dirt track race. While you’re there, burn rubber on the famous Million Dollar Highway that runs from New Mexico to Colorado.

TBD

While the dates have not been announced at the publish time of this article, these popular rallies are worth keeping an eye on for 2022.
