Motorcycle safety classes – After you buy the bike of your dreams, learn how to ride it

If you are a new motorcycle buyer, you might want to read the Houston Chronicle’s article about how one novice rider fared during his motorcycle safety class.

According to the Chronicle, 1.1 million new bikes were sold in 2005. After buying the shiny new bike and the cool leather jacket, learning to actually ride that new bike safely is the tricky next step.

If you learned how to ride bicycle when you were a kid, you probably skinned a knee or two. Falling off a moving motorcyle can be a little more painful. It is best to start with a class before taking off on the open road.

Classes can help new riders build up their skills and pass the written exams to obtain their state licences.
