The Triumph Speed Twin, also known as the Speed Twin 5T, is a motorcycle that was made by Triumph from 1938 until 1940 and again from 1947 until 1966.
The Triumph Speed Twin featured a 500cc OHV vertical twin engine and a lightweight frame. It became the first truly successful British parallel-twin and set the standard for mini twins that followed. After World War II, the speed twin was responsible for the survival of the Triumph brand.
In 2019, the new Speed Twin was launched. It features a 1200 cc engine with 96 horsepower and more than 70 custom accessories, riders can build their own Speed Twin special to fit their needs and riding lifestyle. It makes it easy to add more style, practicality and comfort. Compared to the original, the new speed twin delivers a new standard in dynamic riding capability. It has an enhanced chassis set-up with an accessible riding position. It is available in jet black, red with storm gray, and silver ice with storm Gray.
