Selling my airhead BMW GS, I've had the bike for the past twenty years, and have developed an odd relationship with it where it's become too precious to me to take on any real adventures. When you can't take your adventure bike on an adventure, it's time to move on. Bike just got fresh rod and main bearings (needed due to a tip over while it was warming up when I went inside to get my gear on), as well as all related gaskets and one time use parts (rod bolts, flywheel bolts, ect). Has more period correct/restomod upgrades than I can fit here, but I'll try to sum it up. 9.5-1 Sibenrock pistons, Mikuni carbs, gold valve and custom rate fork springs, new rear shock, 5% taller 5'th gear, 5% shorter 1'st, snap ring groove cut in transmission shaft. All electronics upgraded to EME components, cylinder heads double plugged, and on and on and on. About the only common upgrade that hasn't been made is the driveshaft is still a replacement stock instead of serviceable. Contact me if you want to listen to me flounder to remember it all. Comes with a load of original/spare parts (some good, some not) and am willing to work something out for delivery. Video attached is literally from today when I finished getting it together in my garage, and am letting it run to break the fresh bearings in.
