A CLASSIC Celebrating the essential beauty of the Ducati GT models of the 1970s, the GT 1000 is a bike to be ridden every day, with a balance of two-up comfort and Ducati Desmo Twin performance. As you would expect from a motorcycle inspired by one of the original icons of Ducati, every element and component is built with the highest quality materials and engineered with performance as a priority. Although classically inspired, the GT is a modern Ducati motorcycle, so it is powerful, handles confidently and is exciting to ride. GT COMFORT Aboard the GT 1000, the feeling is one of comfort and control. The position is reassuringly upright, reaching to a pair of raised tubular handlebars. A well-padded dual seat, which is now a little lower than last year, features 'Ducati' printed in white proudly on the back. Rider footpegs are placed conservatively forward allowing comfort and good ground clearance at the same time. The GT 1000 is a true two-seater, so the passenger's footpegs are also sensibly placed for all-day comfort. GT STYLE The shapes of the GT 1000 are modern interpretations of the classic lines of the original GTs of the 1970s. The rather slim fuel tank features knee cut-outs on the sides and deep sculpting on the top with a chrome fuel cap. Full fenders front and rear are complimented by trim side covers that remind us of the 70's originals. Many of the details like the top crowns, fork caps and handlebar mounts are finished in polished aluminum, and are reflected in the chrome surfaces of the wheels, instrument trim, handlebars and horn covers. Finally, the classic look is completed with chrome exhaust pipes and mufflers, one per side. COLORS This year, the GT 1000 introduces the new, classically inspired color scheme of black with white stripe. The sophisticated livery compliments the existing two-tone classic silver and smoke grey to complete the two color line-up.Comes with: Ventura luggage system (2 bags and racks), tank cover, tank bag, extra inserts for Rizoma belt covers, new oil radiator guard, new Ducati brand alternator cover, Speedy Moto alternator cover, Cycle Alarm Box, original headlight and bucket, Carrozzeria wheels, 4 piston front brakes, Traxxion Dynamics adjustable fork inserts, Motodemic Adaptive LED headlight with metal bucket, Rizoma reservoirs, Rizoma retro bar end mirrors, Rizoma belt covers, YSS fully adjustable rear shock, full Termignoni exhaust, Carbon fiber hugger, Custom valve inspection covers.

(You can put it back to 100% stock in about an hour, if a museum piece is your goal.) I have owned many comparable BMW, Triumph, Norton, Moto Guzzi, Honda, Aprilia, etc. and this is my all time favorite modern bike. Comfortable, but looks like a vintage café racer. More manageable than an S1000RR. More useable power and superior handling to a Bonneville, Thruxton or V7. A fraction of the price of a new Commando. Tons more character than a CBR. Totally reliable. No disappointments. Wouldn’t sell, but moving overseas in July. Obviously priced for no-nonsense. Don’t need help selling. No trades.
