I MUST SELL MY 2005 BMW R1200GS Sixty-seven years, a stroke, and four back surgeries have forced me to rethink my life and some treasured possessions. My BMW R1200GS has less than 16k miles and has been dealer maintained. It is factory blue and grey with a high windscreen. An engine performance chip is installed to even-out acceleration. Engine crash bars are mounted. To improve visibility, day or night, all turn signals are LED and an auxiliary, progressive LED brake light helps keep the rear-enders away. On the crash bars, I have mounted Clearwater LED driving lights. They are dimmable and controlled by a knob on the handlebars (which are heated). You can definitely see this bike coming or going. For on-board storage, the bike wears stock luggage cases. A new, expandable Wolfman bag is mounted on the tank. The storage in the rear is complemented by a new Moose Racing trunk as well as a tool bag below the luggage rack. At present, the rear pillion is removed as I always ride alone. Of course, I have the passenger seat. I had a set of Michelin Radial tires mounted but as I live on a 1-mile gravel road, they were treacherous (they will be included with sale of the bike). Yes, I dumped her once making a too rapid transition from pavement to gravel. As a result, there are some scratches on the front fender. Other than that, my pride was injured more than my Beemer. Now the bike sports new Heidenau 60/40 tires that laugh at slippery gravel. They have great road performance (even in the rain) albeit a bit noisier than a straight road tire and they’ll take you just about anywhere you might want to explore. This BMW has never been off-road or ridden aggressively. So, there you have it; a wonderful 2005 BMW R1200GS with some very well thought-out additions and extras like tires, BMW cover, Hane’s manual, and a few other goodies. It greatly saddens me to see her go but she needs a good home and to be ridden. You may have my wonderful BMW for only $7500.00 cash. Of course, shipping or pick-up is entirely up to you (I live in SE Missouri). Just e-mail me at email@example.com.
