KTM AG Information:
KTM AG, once known as KTM Sportmotorcycle AG, is an Austrian company that manufactures both motorcycles and sports cars. It's owned by the Indian manufacturer, Bajaj Auto, and KTM Industries.
Officially formed in 1992, the company's roots go back as far as 1934. Today, it's most widely known for its off-road motorcycles. These include motocross, supermoto, and enduro bikes. In the late 1990s, KTM began producing street cycles and sports cars. In 2012, they became the largest European cycle manufacturer. Perhaps its best-known model is the KTM Duke and its various offshoots.
The KTM Duke is classified as a street bike. You'll find the Duke and Superduke among the line KTM calls "Naked Bikes." In this lineup are cycles that offer 125, 390, 690, 790, and 1290 cc displacement. The 125 isn't available here in the US. The first Duke was released in 1994. The 390 and 690 models come with a single-cylinder four-stroke LC4 motor. A twin-parallel engine is offered in the 790, and a two-cylinder four-stroke 75-degree cylinder LC8 engine powers the 1290 R Superduke.
Any cycle enthusiast who enjoys a powerful ride will appreciate the extensive KTM Duke line. You can choose from various options and add-ons.
