Indian Royal Enfield Himalayan Information:
The Royal Enfield Himalayan is an Indian adventure touring, or dual sport motorcycle. The Himalayan made its debut in February 2015 with an early 2016 launch. The model was conceived by CEO Siddhartha Lal as an adventure touring motorcycle. As such, it is vastly different from the other Royal Enfield motorcycles that are currently available. Pierre Terblanche, formerly of Ducati Motorcycles served as the head of the design team during development.
The Royal Enfield Himalayan was first released in India, and then moved on to other international markets such as Australia, the United Kingdom, the USA, and the Philippines. It received praise for its good off-road ability and suspension but received criticism for the engine's low energy output. For those who want less maintenance, it is a good option because the Royal Enfield Himalayan can go longer periods of time between oil changes and servicing.
In early production, there were some issues regarding the quality of the parts. As a result, some owners have filed lawsuits to either return the bike for a refund or receive compensation. The lawsuit came about after an engineer was able to produce a list of 40 manufacturer defects. The suit is still in litigation.
