    Husqvarna Motorcycles Information:

Husqvarna Motorcycles come from a Swedish company that produces bikes for motocross, enduro, supermoto, and street driving. The company was founded in 1689, started producing motorcycles in 1903, and has been operating for over 100 years. In the late 19th century, Husqvarna started with the manufacturing of bicycles. Their product evolved into motorcycles in 1903. In the beginning, they used imported engines, but began building everything in house in 1918.

Throughout the 1930s, Husqvarna motorcycles competed in Grand Prix road racing in the 350cc and 500cc classes, establishing their brand name in the racing industry. They became Sweden's largest motorcycle manufacturer by 1939. The company continued to establish its reputation amongst racers, winning many titles in the '60s and '70s.

In 1987, the company was sold and that is when production of street bikes began. The main focus of Husqvarna motorcycles was always sport and racing, but the new owners wanted to expand to create street motorcycles to broaden their range of consumers.

Today, Husqvarna continues to produce and distribute a diverse range of motorcycles for racing, using two-stroke or four-stroke engines. Racing is still important to the company, and they have teams that regularly participate in World Enduro, Motocross, Supercross and Supermoto championships. They also have a new and improved line of street motorcycles, that were prototyped in 2014, and released in 2018. These street motorcycles are reputed to be just as high quality as the racing motorcycles produced by Husqvarna
