The Suzuki Bandit 1200 Information:

The Suzuki Bandit 1200 had a short run between 1996 and 2007. It was made with the engine from the GSX-R1100 but was retuned and had a higher capacity. They also included a fuel gauge, higher specification suspension, and hydraulic clutch. This was a big difference from the 600cc models.
In 2001, the Suzuki Bandit 1200 received new changes to the bike style and function. Rear bodywork was remodeled, and instrumentation went completely electronic. Pulsed air injection was added to help eliminate unburnt fuel from emissions. To round out the eco-friendliness, an additional fuel filter was also added. The fuel tank was increased to a 5.2-gallon tank to give the rider a little extra go time. Seats were also lowered, and framework and steering were adjusted.
In 2004, the Suzuki Bandit 1200 received a catalytic converter, but this was only available in certain world markets. In 2006, the K6 and SK6 saw a major overhaul. The seat became adjustable, tank received a new shape with new panels, and anti-lock brakes became an optional feature. In the UK, SA models had anti-lock brakes standard. What is most ironic is that no new 1200s were available in the United States during 2006.
