FastPack

By Tim Monroe of The Cycle Guys Inc.

From a flat seat pad to this tail bag

Imagine a tail bag for your motorcycle, big enough for your lunch and a jacket liner, or an overnight change of clothes. Now, imagine that the bag, when not in use, is clever enough to compress down to become a custom, carbon-fiber look seat pad that never needs to be removed. Perfect for carrying your little necessities when commuting during the week, yet neatly disappears for backroad pleasure riding.

The Cycle Guys have come up with the FastPack (patent pending), with 4 sizes available to fit most modern sportbikes and sport-touring motorcycles, including models from Buell, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Triumph, and Yamaha.

Collapsed and zipped down, FastPack is a padded seat cover with a custom, carbon-fiber look. Zip it open and expand your FastPack, and it carries over 8 liters of cargo, great for daily use, or even an overnight trip.

FastPack features all waterproof materials, including heavy-duty nylon canvas, marine-grade vinyl, and a waterproof zipper to help protect your valuables from the weather.

The unique feature of FastPack is that it never needs to be removed from your bike. When you need it, unzip the perimeter zipper and expand the bag to carry your lunch, workout clothes, a pair of shoes, whatever. When you don't need to carry things, simply zip it down and it neatly disappears. Unlike a tank bag, FastPack doesn't interfere with refueling, doesn't get in the way of controlling your bike, won't scratch your bike's paint, never needs to be removed, and doesn't look dorky!

The Cycle Guys may not yet be a well-known name in the land of two wheels, but they're working on it. The Guys have several unique, innovative products available to help riders carry their gear. You might have seen some of their products reviewed in Cycle World or RoadBike magazines, or on Motorcycle.com and 2WF.com.

FastPack has a suggested retail price of $72.95, can be found at many motorcycle dealers, or online at www.thecycleguys.com.
