You’ll notice a few more motorcycles on the road this year on June seventeenth because it’s the twenty-second annual ‘Ride to Work Day’.  World-wide, more than an estimated million riders become two-wheeled commuters to demonstrate riding as a fun and practical form of utility transportation.

Spring is finally upon us. All over the country, riders are taking the covers off their bikes and tuning them up—it’s riding season again. But with the departure of winter weather comes those infamous April showers—and while, yes, they bring May flowers—they also bring a deluge of disappointment, as anxious riders must wait out the storms before hitting the open road. But Spring showers don’t have to dampen your ride! That’s what rain gear is for. And even if the rain brings cooler temperatures along, you can turn to your trusty heated gear to keep you warm on the roads.

In an effort to continuously advance rider training and education, while simultaneously trying to improve on road safety, Honda has announced that it is set to release an updated version of its Rider Training Software.

Also known as the SMARTrainer, the original system was unveiled in August of 2008. Since then, Honda has worked hard at consistently improving the module in an effort to provide a complete experience in motorcycled rider training.

When planning your trip to this year’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, one of the most important tools any rider can carry with him or her is their BAM card. BAM is free breakdown and legal assistance for motorcyclists nationwide. Inspired by motorcycle lawyer Russ Brown, in the early 1980’s Russ found himself broke down at the side of the road in a remote area, and while waiting for help to arrive he came up with the idea of a service that was volunteer supported and could help a fellow motorcyclist with emergency breakdown and legal advice.
